Construction Manager

Introduction

Our client is looking for a Construction Manager with experience working in Airports, to manage mechanical and electrical construction upgrades.

You will ideally have experience working within an Airport on substation and cabling requirements. 

Working Patterns and location – This role is based full time on site.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide support throughout all stages of the project lifecycle within all assigned projects within the Airport.
  • Work with Project Managers to support the successful delivery of the Capital Plan.
  • Lead construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Coordinate activities, manage resources, and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Advocate for safety first, and be accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and project compliance standards.
  • Build relationships to manage and influence stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Act as day-to-day site representative to monitor so that the contractors site activities are conducted safely.
  • Ensure minimum impact on the environment and operational airport.
  • Compare work in progress with contract documentation, and information given at site meetings and with the overall contract programme.
Skills & experience
  • 7 years’ experience within Construction Management, at least some spent Airside.
  • You will possess technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio.
  • Experience in NEC Supervisor / Clerk of Works would be of benefit.
  • Experience in Mechanical and Electrical Systems are required – substation / Runway cabling ‘Airside requirements.
