Communications Lead

Our client is working with the Ministry of Defence and is looking for someone to lead Communications across a number of Cloud adoption projects.

You will need experience within Cloud and Defence to be considered for this role!

Working Patterns and location – This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days on site per week.

• Lead communications and engagements across a diverse stakeholder group within the MOD.
• Develop the existing communications and engagement strategy and plan, aligned with the overall Programme objectives, benefits, and desired outcomes.
• Develop and consistently articulate the programme’s core narrative, key messages, benefits and outcomes.
• Ensure all messaging is consistent, positive, and reinforces the strategic importance of the programme.
• Map and analyse key stakeholder groups to tailor communication approaches and content.
• Develop clear and compelling communications materials.
• Translate complex technical concepts into easily digestible and engaging messages for diverse stakeholder audiences.
• Manage and maintain communication channels specific to the programme.
• Plan and execute a range of engagement activities, such as town halls, workshops, roadshows, etc.
• Support the creation of training and enablement materials.
• Facilitate two-way communication channels to encourage feedback.
• Define metrics for communication effectiveness and engagement.
• Monitor, measure, and report on the impact of communication activities.

• Proven experience in a dedicated communications and engagement role, ideally in Defence Digital but essential that it has been within Defence.
• Demonstrable experience of Cloud technologies / Cloud adoption activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly, concisely, and manage engagements with a divers set of stakeholders.
