Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Working Patterns – 3 days per week on site

• Develop and maintain comprehensive infrastructure architecture blueprints and roadmaps.
• Ensure designs align with the client’s objectives and technical requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools, and provide recommendations for adoption.
• Lead the implementation of infrastructure projects.
• Work closely with application development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure designs, configurations, and processes.
• Monitor and analyse infrastructure performance.
• Ensure that infrastructure solutions are designed and implemented with a strong focus on security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.

• Experience in a similar role within the National Security.
• In-depth knowledge of servers, storage, data centres, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement tactical solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.

Please note that the client has determined that the off-payroll working rules will apply to this assignment and therefore this contract will be run through an Umbrella Company. Income tax and primary national insurance contributions will be deducted at source from any payments made to the intermediary.
