Civil Engineer – Water

Introduction

Our client are working in the water/waste water infrastructure environment to work on hydraulics, storage, supply and collection systems.

You will be leading multi disciplinary design teams to deliver high quality technical solutions. You will need experience working with water engineering projects and aligning design to UK standards and policies

This is a hybrid role with 2 - 3 days per week on site in Manchester or Leeds

Key responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to multi disciplinary teams ensuring innovative engineering designs that align with UK standards and best practice.
  • Develop comprehensive project documents such as scope of work, design briefs and technical content for bids and tender proposals.
  • Plan, monitor and control project schedule and budgets to mitigate risks and align programme milestones to commercial targets.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, to coordinate design activities.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
Skills & experience
  • Chartered Civil Engineer.
  • Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  • Sound knowledge water and/or wastewater treatment, storage solutions, hydraulics, water supply and wastewater collection systems and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.
  • Proficiency in designing within appropriate digital analysis packages, following local and national guidance. E.g HADES, Infoworks, EPANET.
