Campaign Strategy Manager
Introduction
Our large defence client is looking for a Strategic Sales Manager to lead a campaign to develop and secure new opportunities.
You will undertake business development activities, driving sales through strong stakeholder management and supporting strategic growth opportunities. The right candidate will have strong MOD experience.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days on site per week and travel to both sites as required.
Key responsibilities
- Drive business development from requirements to order closure.
- Manage stakeholders to achieve sales goals through the full sales cycle.
- Maintain a 5-year forecast for accurate order intake and business planning.
- Develop partnering strategies to support campaign goals and secure win-win deals.
- Coordinate with project teams for initiation, stakeholder management, and contract changes.
Skills & experience
- Experience with large-scale (£20m+) and complex projects in UK MoD procurement.
- Proven ability to build long-term relationships with customers and partners.
- Knowledge of UK MoD, organisations, and structures, and how to align them to products and services.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
- Successful track record in bidding and winning large (£20m+) UK MoD projects.
- Understanding of UKStratCom's procurement for Strategic Services and R&D.
- Experience with service-oriented contracting models.
- Experience with bidding frameworks and tasks.
- Established network in MoD Strategic Services and industry.
- Experience as Capture Lead on major complex projects.
