Our client are a medium sized consultancy supporting a prime on their National Security project.
you will work with clients to understand their business challenges, define clear requirements, and translate them into actionable solutions that drive measurable improvement.
You will operate as the intersection of business strategy and technology delivery, ensuring solutions align with organisational objectives and add value.
Working Patterns and location – This role will require you to be on site 4-5 days per week in Cheltenham.
Key responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and requirements.
- Conduct business process analysis to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Elicit, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear documentation such as user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria.
- Support the design and implementation of solutions, ensuring alignment with strategy, policy, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and service delivery leads to ensure smooth solution delivery.
- Contribute to change management and benefits realisation activities, ensuring outcomes are measured and sustained.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings to drive consensus and clarity.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a consulting and National Security sector.
- Strong understanding of business process modelling, requirements gathering, and solution design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex issues into actionable insights.
- Experience working with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Skilled in using tools such as Visio, Miro, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent platforms.
