Our client works across Public Sector and Private Sector clients and they are looking for a Lead Building Surveyor to deliver pre and post contract services.
You will also manage a team of Building Surveyors, as well as mentoring and supporting junior candidates whilst they go through training and qualifications.
This role would suit an ambitious Chartered Building Surveyor with some managerial experience and a passion for supporting business growth.
Working Patterns: 2 – 3 Days on site.
Key responsibilities
- Work across a number of projects in the Public and Private Sector, managing and providing a range of building surveying / project management duties.
- Manage client relationships and service delivery.
- Assist with the development of new and repeat business across all sectors where possible.
- Project management and Contract Administration duties for larger projects.
- Pre and Post contract project management responsibilities.
- Condition, measured and due diligence surveys.
- Apply standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
- Undertake building surveys and producing professional reports and specifications.
- Lead a team of Surveyors, which includes mentoring and training junior Building Surveyors, as well as an active participation in the APC programme.
- Delivery of both pre- and post- contract project management services.
Skills & experience
- BSc (Hons) Building Surveying RICS Accredited degree.
- Experience of both pre and post contract project management responsibilities and be able to deliver this service effectively to Clients.
- An awareness of BIM systems.
- Ability to manage and develop team members including mentoring of APC graduates.
- Experience of managing clients and their expectations.
- Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
