Avionics Engineer (Team Lead)
Our client has an Avionics maintenance unit who responsible for repairing and maintaining avionic components and servicing items such as aircraft radios, central warning panel systems and generators.
Introduction
The team is responsible for ensuring that these avionic components are in optimal condition and fully operational to support flight missions.
Oversee a team of 3 technicians and 2 supervisors on the daily operations of the avionic maintenance facility.
This role is fully based on site.
Key responsibilities
- Allocate repair and maintenance tasks to the team, monitor progress and provide guidance as needed.
- Update records and documentation on component repairs and maintenance activities.
- Manage timely repairs, accurate documentation, and smooth coordination, ultimately enhancing aircraft readiness and operational efficiency.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians.
- Participate in meetings and briefings to discuss operational priorities and strategies.
- Report to the maintenance team leader on progress and any issues encountered.
Skills & experience
- Avionics maintenance experience required.
- Supervisory experience required.
- You will need either relevant: degree, Higher National Diploma, Higher National Certificate or BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in engineering, NVQ, City & Guilds, or similar qualification, or experience.
