Asset Maintenance Technician

Our client is responsible for maintaining valuable assets on a secure site in Cornwall.

Successful applicants will need to be happy working at height in tricky outdoor conditions.

Working Pattern: Full time on site. They will consider candidates who leaving the military and not available for up to 12 months.

Key responsibilities
  • Working at height and outdoors to maintain technical assets which are exposed to the elements.
  • Follow a prescriptive programme to carry out preventative maintenance to valuable assets.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to mitigate corrosion.
  • Ensure that each asset is cleaned annually to mitigate corrosion.
  • Provide technical assessment and interpretation of corrosion / inspection monitoring data, including corrosion anomalies and failures analysis.
  • Provide supporting evidence for periodic reports on the corrosion status of systems.
  • Using tools such as pressure washer devices, air compressors and power tools.
Skills & experience
  • Experience working in an engineering capacity in a Defence/National Security environment.
  • Willing and able to perform a variety of maintenance activities such as using a pressure washer and power tools.
  • The ability to work at height and/or in austere conditions, with confidence.
  • Knowledge of corrosion and corrosion control is advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
