Application Developer

We are looking for a Microsoft Office 365 Developer who can manage the administration of the 365 platform, and work with stakeholder across the business to identify opportunities for improvements.

You will have the opportunity to work on a 60% remote, 40% on-site hybrid working split throughout the month and my client are open to your preferences about how you will split this up.

My client is a global defence organisation, so any current or prior defence experience is desirable, as you will be put through a security clearance prior to starting this role.

Key responsibilities
  • Take requirements or change requests from business process owners and develop solutions to meet them.
  • Work with stakeholders across the enterprise to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilise best practices in managing the administration and security of the M365 ecosystem and Power Platform.
  • Utilise full functionality of the platform to build canvas apps, Power Apps portals, and leverage Power Automate to create business process flows.
  • Full life cycle management of the developed solutions.
  • Provide a point of technical escalation.
  • Resolve assigned service desk requests and incidents.
Skills & experience
  • Experience with designing, developing, configuring, and deploying applications/solutions within the M365 platform.
  • Experience in analysing business requirements, being able to understand and adapt to the organisation’s goals and objectives.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent technical skills but also be able to talk with customers on a day-to-day business process basis.
  • Knowledge of database development, including SQL Server 2008/2012/2019.
  • Thorough understanding of application development methodologies; comprehensive experience with structuring, developing, and implementing interactive sites and applications.
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban or Waterfall methodologies
