Airworthiness Consultant - hybrid

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week on site or visiting clients.

My client is a Defence and Aerospace consultancy who offer engineering, technical and strategic advisory services to a wide range of Government clients.

They are looking for candidates with experience providing guidance and direction in the development of aviation certification, airworthiness, and safety management solutions for their defence clients.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and direction in safety management solutions for clients.
  • Provide consultancy advice on the development of aviation certification, airworthiness and safety management.
  • Lead major safety management assignments for clients.
  • Develop and generate Safety Assessment Reports.
  • Develop proposals and provide technical assurance.
  • Apply various regulations e.g. MAA, MRP, MACP, Def Stan 00-970.
  • Support to Markets.
  • Providing a vision of future needs to support the development of capability.
Skills & experience
  • Knowledge of some of the following regulations and standards:
    • MAA Regulatory Publications, Military Air System Certification Process, Defence Standard 00-970, Military Aviation Hazard/Accident Management, ASPIRE, Air System Loss Models, BowTies, GSN/CAE, Hermes, Def-Stan 00-056, Airworthiness Strategies/Safety Management Plans.
  • Development and generation of Safety Assessment Reports.
  • Proven track record of developing Safety Management solutions at enterprise, platform or at system level.
  • Experienced in developing proposals and providing technical assurance.
  • Experience developing Safety Management solutions to support operations.
  • Experience working with clients and good stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of the Defence, Aerospace and wider markets, or major contractor’s experience.
