Our client is an industry leader in the defence and aerospace sector. They are looking for an Air System Design Engineer to work on both military and civil aircrafts to develop an Aircraft Weight and Balance tool to support accurate documentation.

Working Patterns: Remote with occasional travel to Cheshire

• Aircraft weight and balance analysis.
• Development of a weight and balance analysis tool to support activities and documentation.
• Production of a tool to allow total aircraft weight and balance to be repeatedly and accurately predicted.
• Collaboration with modification design engineers to understand the design and aircraft equipment fits.
• Production of aircraft modification weight declarations to enable modification certifications.

• Knowledge of aircraft weight and balance requirements and calculations.
• Proven and recent experience in the design, integration and certification of aircraft avionic and mechanical systems.
• Understanding and experience of aircraft design processes.
• Experience of working within a multi-discipline engineering team within the aerospace industry.
• Experience working with both military and civil aircrafts.
