Introduction

Our client works with the Defence industry to provide guidance and direction in developing aviation certification, airworthiness, and safety management solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with military air safety experience to work across a range of projects and work mediate military aviation risks, accidents and hazards.

Working Patterns: This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week in the office/at client sites.

Key responsibilities
  • Leadership of major safety management assignments within military aviation.
  • Lead the application of military aviation hazard/accident/risk management.
  • Develop safety, airworthiness, technical evaluation and certification reports, presentations and other artefacts.
  • Assurance of work undertaken by project teams.
  • Develop innovative Safety Management solutions and implement them within organisations.
  • Conduct safety related tasks such as Experience of conducting/supporting safety related techniques such as FHA, ZHA, FTA, ETA, FMECA or CBA.
  • Apply Defence standards such as Def Stan 00-056.
  • Develop safety, airworthiness, technical evaluation and certification reports, presentations and other artefacts.
  • Provide assurance of work undertaken by project teams.
Skills & experience
  • Understanding and application of military aviation hazard/accident/risk management.
  • Proven track record of developing Safety Management solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience including the preparation and presentation of reports.
  • Experience of conducting/supporting safety related techniques such as FHA, ZHA, FTA, ETA, FMECA and/or CBA.
  • Working knowledge of Industry Standards and other Defence Standards such as Def Stan 00-056.
  • Chartered/Incorporated Engineer or equivalent or working towards it (the client can support this development).
