Our client has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to be responsible for the design, management, maintenance and upkeep of the Data Centres and supporting infrastructure.

This role is critical to the organisation, requiring a technical expert who is able to manage complexity and deliver key infrastructure upgrades and services while assuring our client’s ability to deliver both internal and external services.

They need an Infrastructure engineer with design experience and maintenance and management of Datacentres using SCOM.

Your base will be Essex or Fife but you will be able to perform some of the work remotely, so this is a hybrid role.

Key technologies required:

  • Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager (SCOM)
  • CyberArk
  • Veeam Backup & Recovery
  • Ping Identity
Key responsibilities
  • Responsible for the agile delivery a of reliable, secure, and cost-efficient IT infrastructure.
  • Plays a key role in operational Data Centre and hosting improvement projects.
  • Works with functional leadership to develops long term vision our client’s UK IT Data Centre technologies and solutions.
  • Research and identify the most appropriate technologies and services.
  • Effective maintenance of secure and stable IT platforms for the business.
Skills & experience
  • Experience in the following technology areas such as: SCOM, CyberArk, Veeam and Ping. Server Hardware and Storage, Vsphere, Active Directory.
  • Implementation, support and administration of Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Windows Active Directory (DNS/Group Policies)
  • Knowledge and solid understanding of industry best practices in Private and Public Cloud provisioning

Please note that the client has determined that the off-payroll working rules will apply to this assignment and therefore this contract will be run through an Umbrella Company. Income tax and primary national insurance contributions will be deducted at source from any payments made to the intermediary.
