Our client is a leading Technical and Engineering Consultancy who operates world-wide, and they are looking for an experienced IT Strategist to work with Government and Engineering clients to develop their IT strategies.

This role requires someone with excellent consultancy skills as it will be dealing with C suite stakeholders!

Our client isn’t tied down to promoting specific technologies and is therefore looking for someone to come up with innovative and creative technical Solutions.

You will be based in the UK but will be expected to work for 3-4 months at a time in the UAE and/or Canada as the clients are based there. Options for more time spent overseas if interested.

Key responsibilities
  • Help organisations embrace their data and new digital technology, whilst understanding the full impact on the organisations operating model, people, processes, technology and integration with existing capabilities.
  • Support the business strategy, ensuring alignment of Digital/IT initiatives to the business, that maximises business value.
  • Advise and influence clients’ strategic direction with respect to Digital Technology
  • Develop and leverage relationships in to become the client’s “go-to trusted advisor” working in partnership with the clients C’ suite
  • Act as Client stakeholder, orchestrator and key interface to develop multi-capability client solutions
Skills & experience
  • Breadth of consultancy experience, working as a trusted advisor with Board level / C’ suite stakeholder
  • Able to operate at strategic and detail levels with equal ease
  • Accomplished at communicating complex technical concepts with ease to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Leadership of programmes and teams
  • Outstanding consulting and/or implementation credentials at enterprise level covering some of the following:
    • Strategy and Architecture (Enterprise, Business, Solution, Service)
    • Governance and planning
    • Enterprise IT management
    • Service Ops / Security Ops
    • Data (governance, architecture, exploitation)
    • Development & implementation management
    • Transformational technology exploitation (such as intelligent Networks, Cloud, Containerisation, RPA, AI, Data Capitalisation)
    • Practical ICT programme, project, service delivery – Agile Delivery
