Commercial Manager
Introduction
Our client works very closely with the Ministry of Defence and they are looking for someone to be responsible for reviewing, drafting and negotiating a range of agreements including prime and subcontracts, NDAs, MOUs and agreements.
Experience working on Defence/Government contracts is essential.
Working Pattern: Hybrid working, you will have a local base of Bristol, London or Gloucestershire, expected in the office 1-2 days per week, the rest of the work can be done remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Drafting and agreement of sales and procurement agreements.
- Analysis and negotiation of contract terms and conditions.
- Analysis and agreement of NDAs, MOUs and teaming agreements.
- Reviewing and approving proposals, prime and sub – contracts.
- Providing commercial support to bid teams.
- Commercial risk identification, mitigation and management.
- Reviewing and approving call-off contracts under a wide variety of framework types.
Skills & experience
- Experience in procurement/commercial management.
- Ability to analyse, interpret and draft contractual wording.
- Experience of negotiating complex contract terms with suppliers and/or clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent stakeholder engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good grasp of contract law.
- Knowledge of contractual documents including NDAs, MOUs, teaming agreements, sub and prime contracts.
- Knowledge of intellectual property rights and protection.
